This Test Stand was designed to test the Lucas Starter Generator as well as a Lucas Oil Cooled Alternator. The Stand uses a 75 HP, DC motor through a gearbox to obtain speeds of 18,000 RPM. A 28 Volt DC, 600 Amp Load Bank as well as a 208/120 Volt, 400 HZ, 45 KVA Load Bank are built in.

Speeds up to 15,800 RPM are provided by the 60 HP drive motor and gearbox. The console contains digital meters and an oscilloscope along with other instrumentation and controls. |
