Performs bench testing of various aircraft water components such as boilers, coffee makers, windshield wiper motors, hoses, valves, tanks, etc. Three work stations have separate systems available for each including 0-25 psig, 0-200 psig and 0-10,000 psig water systems, 0-100 SCFM vacuum systems, 0-100 psig, 0-300 psig and 0-3500 psig air systems plus variable voltage direct current and 400 Hertz electrical systems. The stainless steel stand is equipped with containment testing chamber.

| Stand tests the Convergent Exhaust Nozzle Control used on the Pratt & Whitney FI00 engine (F15, F16). Specifically designed rig simulates steady state and transient loadings of the engine nozzle. Software developed by the Staley Company evaluates the measured parameters, compares them with the acceptable limits and makes a pass/fail determination. |

Tests Hamilton Standard Integral Oil Assemblies on C130 and E2C Aircraft. The function of the Test Stand is to provide a means for accurately testing the performance and operating characteristics of all Hamilton Standard Integral Oil Control Assemblies. The Test Stand is fully equipped with all necessary hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components and controls to test oil controls in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and under simulated flight conditions. A variable speed drive is used to simulate engine speed. |

Designed to test Power Unit used to control the afterburner nozzle on J85-13 engines. Fixture on 1/2" thick steel counter-top holds unit. A 5hp variable speed motor drives the Power Unit at speeds up to 7800 rpm. Three output cables from the unit drive 3 hysteresis brakes mounted under the counter. The brake's loading is controlled by the operator. Data acquistion system, which include an industrial computer, monitor and chart recorder, provides detailed information on torques, speeds, revolutions travelled, etc. |
